Portrait of Jihae

Here is a portrait I did recently at Atwood Atelier. Our sitter was a young woman named Jihae, who had lovely green highlights in her hair that were fun to draw. I spent about 3.5 hours working on this piece.

The initial sketch in graphite.

Blocking in the darkest darks.

Blocking in the color masses.

Refining facial features and adding in her glasses.

Finished!
